Yesterday 18,000 enthusiastic students packed the Xcel Energy Center what has become an annual day of celebrating service learning and giving, called 'We Day'.

We Day is a celebration of youth making a difference in their local and global communities. There is also a yearlong program that nurtures compassion in youths and gives them the tools to create transformational social change. Together they offer young people the tools and the inspiration to take social action, empower others and transform lives  and yesterday marked the 3rd year for the celebration.

The event which started out with 200 schools a few years ago, now has and  about 560 schools participating. The event even had guest speakers such as Chelsea Clinton, Ciara, actor Darren Criss ('Glee') and more, Henry Winkler even spoke to the crowd of enthusiastic youths.

I think it's a great idea and it's good to kids to start helping out when they're young. You can read the full story here and let me know what you think of 'WE Day' in the comments. You can even check out Darren Criss performing 'Teenage Dream' at 'WE Day' below.
