5K-9 Run For The Dogs Is Saturday October 6

Run or walk a beautiful 5K at Lester Park this Saturday to help support K-9 units of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Duluth Police Department, Hermantown Police Department, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Superior Police Department.

This is fun event for the entire family and a beautiful fall backdrop for the walk run. The course is a part trails, part road event with the start/finish at the Lester Park Pavilion. It is an out and back, starting with an enjoyable warmup on the Lester Park nordic trails before transitioning onto Seven Bridges Road. The course has some moderate hills, but in general is considered relatively level and all portions are stable running surfaces. The scenery is like no other event in the area, so come enjoy the fun and help our local K-9 units with your support!

Your $30 donation goes to benefit the K9's and includes a long sleeve t-shirt while supplies last. Help keep our officers and the community safe by supporting this program and these dogs who are so vital to our officers.  Kids 12 and under can run for FREE, K9 dogs will be on hand to greet everyone but please leave your won dogs at home, strollers are welcome. Race packet pickup is October 6 from 7-8:45am at the Lester Park pavilion.  Race starts at 9am.
