A Remake is Here Of the Classic “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” [VIDEO]

Many celebrities gathered together recently to join forces and do a new version of the classic song "Do they know it's Christmas?".

1984 Version

The original version of the song (as seen in the video above) was written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984 to raise money for relief of the 1983–85 famine in Ethiopia, and became a huge hit selling millions of copies worldwide. This group of singers came to be known as Band Aid. I am so old I remember listening to this song over and over again on a record player. It was very powerful indeed and opened a lot of peoples eyes into what was going on across the world.

Now a new generation of artists, mixed with some originals have emerged, this time to help people affected by the Ebola Virus. Some of the lyrics have changed a bit, but the message is the same, to reach out to help and try to heal.
