Adam Lambert had an interesting Christmas holiday in Finland, including some authentic Finnish cuisine — and a night in the hoosegow after getting picked up for fighting with his boyfriend outside a nightclub. But all’s well that ends well, and the seemingly happy couple is back in the States.

TMZ reports that Lambert and his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, returned to America on Sunday, touching down in Los Angeles and heading home after a holiday neither of them is likely to forget.

Lambert was clearly chastened by the arrest — he’s been using Twitter to lament the incident since it occurred, telling followers that “violence is not to be taken lightly” and saying he’s “embarrassed by drunkenness” while taking a moment to complain about the way the whole thing went down in the press. “No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges,” he insisted. “Media always exaggerates.”

Embarrassing drunken arrest aside, it looks like Lambert and Koskinen’s stay in Finland still had plenty of room for good old-fashioned holiday fun. They tweeted the above photo on Christmas Eve, with Lambert telling followers, “Just had a huge traditional Finnish feast and now opening gifts! Merry and bright! Hyvää ja rauhallista joulua!”
