Adam Levine Hits Fan on the Head With Microphone [VIDEO]
TMZ reports that the incident happened during the band's concert on March 16. Thanks to technology, the incident was caught on tape and you can view it in the video above.
Adam can be seen tapping his microphone, trying to get it to work. When no sound comes out of it, he lightheartedly throws it down onto the stage — where it takes a wicked bounce directly onto a fan's head.
Adam immediately rushes over to the audience member and pulls her onto the stage. She doesn't appear to injured, thankfully. (However, she does seems overwhelmed because Adam put his arm around her. Understandable.)
The video cuts to Adam addressing the crowd, saying, "Our first album came out in 2002. Not one time in the history of our band's career that I can barely even believe exists, not one time has the PA failed. Not one time — until tonight. In my frustrated state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced and it might have bounced off of the ground into poor, sweet Stephanie's face."
It's clear that Adam feels awful about what happened and wants to make her concert experience the best possible.
"When I was trying to get everybody to pay attention, it was because I felt so utterly terrible that I had perhaps wounded this young fan," he added. "So I brought her onstage, ran a little distraction so we could get our s--- together, and she is now enjoying the concert from the side of the stage, as she should be. What we're going to do is, we're going to pretend none of that happened."
