Anderson Cooper took to the podium at Sean Penn's second annual Help Haiti Home benefit on Jan. 12, and while he was there, he let the F-bombs fly. In context, of course.

After Penn gave a speech littered with swears, Cooper had his turn. Maybe his friend and New Year's Eve co-host Kathy Griffin really is rubbing off on him.

“I didn't know we were allowed to say f---,” Cooper joked. “I would have said f--- so much more.”

Cooper recalled that upon first meeting Penn in Haiti, he didn't quite know how to treat the actor, quipping, "I worried if I pointed a camera at him, he'd beat me up."

The CNN host also promised that (time permitting) he would serenade Penn with Bette Midler's 'Wind Beneath My Wings' -- a promise which sadly never came to fruition. Way to break our hearts with your lies, Anderson Cooper.

Later on in the evening, the Academy Award-snubbed Leonardo DiCaprio donated $200,000 to spend the day with former president and surprise Golden Globe presenter Bill Clinton. Because let's be honest -- if you had that kind of jack, you'd spend it on a day with Bill, too.

Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon scraped up with $125,000 for a trip to Italy to meet fashion designer Giorgio Armani, and David Spade also plunked down 125 large on Bruce Springsteen and Sir Paul McCartney concert packages.

To reiterate: You're at work while David freakin' Spade is writing six-figure checks for funzies. Happy Monday!
