Animal Allies Teams Up to Help with Hurricane Harvey Pet Transports

Animal Shelters and rescue groups in Texas are overwhelmed with the need to find placement for animals. The mission of the Hurricane Harvey transport is to bring animals currently in shelters from the Dallas Texas area to make room for the animals affected by Hurricane Harvey.

By clearing out the current shelters they can house and treat these animals who can hopefully be reunited with their families or adopted out to a new forever home.

Each transport of just one pet costs about $3,000 from travel expenses to medical care and boarding once the animal arrives. Animal Allies of Duluth is currently taking donations to help this cause, or if you would like to volunteer in some capacity they would love to hear from you as well.
