The fast food chain Arby's is trying to break a world record tomorrow, and the attempt will happen here in Duluth.

Starting at 1pm tomorrow, My9 will start to air an Arby's commercial that will run for 13 hours straight, way more than enough to beat the current record of 1 hour, which is held by the Nivea brand for a TV commercial that ran in Switzerland in 2011.

The world record TV ad will promote Arby's Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich, and will show a brisket being smoked for 13 hours at the smokehouse in Texas that cures Arby’s brisket.

According to the New York Times, "in the dialogue-free commercial, a brisket is placed in a smoker that has been fitted with a glass window and internal light, and it cooks on the screen in one uncut shot. Finally, the brisket is removed from the smoker and Arby’s corporate executive chef, slices off some and assembles the sandwich..."

Sounds like some entertaining television, the event will also be streamed only once online starting Wednesday morning at 8 at www.13hourbrisket.com.
