There are a handful of albums that I can say formed my musical tastes, and 30 years ago today one of those albums dropped on the world like a nuclear bomb.

On November 15th, 1986, the Beastie Boys released their debut album, 'Licensed to Ill', you read that right, 30 years ago.

'Licensed to Ill' is overflowing with classics; Girls, Brass Monkey, Fight For Your Right, Paul Revere, No Sleep Till Brooklyn, just to name a few.

Their blend of rock and hip-hop with sometimes quirky lyrics was something that I couldn't get enough of, this album is still in regular rotation when I'm casually listening to music.

If you've never listened to this album from front to back, put on some headphones and take a listen to first ever rap album to reach #1.
