Best Places in the Duluth / Superior Area to Get Out and Fight Cabin Fever This Winter – Our Top 5
Winter is here! Sure, it may have missed its cue by a couple months; but the cold temps are here. As cabin fever sets in with the colder temperatures, here are five places you and your family or friends can go to get out of the house and shake the winter blues.
Check out a Movie
This is probably one of the most obvious options, but checking out a movie is always a fantastic option. Grab a snack, beverage and sit back - forgetting the fact it is frigidly cold for a few hours.
Get Active
Take a few swings at the batting cages, climb the rock wall, play a little laser tag, or hit the arcade down in Canal Park. It's a great chance to get active when it is so cold out. If that isn't enough, you could make a day of it and grab some food before or after you hit up Adventure Zone.
Hit The Tubing Hill
What Northerner isn't afraid to take their winter fun outside from time to time? Spirit Mountain just recently opened a snow tubing hill, offering one of the best places in the area to get in a thrill ride on a snow tube.
Hang With The Fish
Check out the creatures that live in area lakes without cutting a hole in the ice and diving in. Among the regular attractions, the Great Lakes Aquarium also offers some winter exhibits with interesting information about what's going on during the cold weather months in our lakes.
Take A Swim
If water is your thing, but you don't care as much about the fish - The Edge Waterpark offers you the chance to play in the water and reminisce of those warm-weather months when you could actually go for a swim outside.
