It looks like the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards are shaping up to be all about Beyonce.

The singer, who is nominated for a whopping eight awards -- more than any other artist -- will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which honors an artist's entire body of work, Rolling Stone reports.

And just in case that wasn't enough for all of the Beyonce die-hards, the 'Pretty Hurts' singer will also be performing in what undoubtedly be one of the most highly anticipated performances of the night. Other artists slated to perform include 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5 and Usher.

Some of the awards Beyonce is up for this year include Best Female, Best Collaboration, Best Video With a Social Message and the coveted Video of the Year. She also recorded a (pretty bizarre) spot to get fans hyped about her performance, which you can watch in the video above.

Can't wait to see Queen Bey grace the stage? Be sure to turn into the 2014 MTV VMAs on Sunday, Aug. 24 on MTV at 9PM ET.
