Speaking volumes about the overcrowding in the Los Angeles correctional system, Bobby Brown, who was sentenced to spend 55 days in jail and turned himself in just yesterday (March 20) ... is already out. After logging just nine hours in the clink.

Nine hours. Out of 55 days. For his third DUI. Awesome.

According to TMZ, Brown was booked in the county jail at 9:58 a.m. and was released at 6:58 p.m.

A spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff’s office had anticipated Brown would spend at least nine days locked away, but obviously they got their hours and days mixed up when they estimated how quickly the L.A. court system would put drunk drivers with multiple offensives back on the streets.

Now that he's been freed after a whole work day, Brown will spend four years on probation and attend alcohol education classes for 18 months (time we're assuming is actually real).
