BreakTime Breakdown takes a look at whats going on around Hollywood and the world.

Here are today’s.

  • 50 Cent Has The Worst First Pitch

So if you happened to be on YouTube any time in the last week you probably saw one of the worst first pitches ever.  50 Cent took the mound to throw out the first pitch of a game and he ended up almost throwing it into the dugout to the side missing the plate by a wide margin.  A few people over at Wonkblog took a look at all these first pitches that both celebrities and politicians have thrown out on YouTube and figured out that 50 Cent has the worst first pitch thrown out.

  • Reading Rainbow Reboot?

Levar Burton, who played not only a character in Star-Trek The next Generation but was the host of Reading Rainbow decided to kick off a kickstarter campaign to bring Reading Rainbow back for the web.  The aim was to raise $1 million dollars.  He ended up hitting the mark in only 11 hours and raised about $2 million overall.  So some classrooms across the US might see Reading Rainbow again.

  • School Refuses To Give Students Diplomas

One school in Illinois is refusing to hand out diplomas to its students.  It turns out the school officials told the students that if the caps were thrown in the air they would not get their diplomas.  The school explain it was a safety issue.  Well of course, its a tradition so some students tossed their caps in the air and now the school is refusing to give out the diplomas unless the students publicly apologize.  I think this is stupid.  It's a tradition.
