Bridge Repairs in Superior Diverting Traffic to One Lane

If you take E 2nd Street (HWY 53) in Superior regularly, expect delays starting on April 25th.

The City of Superior with Douglas County will be working to perform bridge joint repairs at the viaduct between 23rd and 27th Avenues East.

The repairs are anticipated to require a one week closure of the southbound lanes followed by a one week closure of the northbound lanes. During lane closures, traffic will be diverted to the opposing side and reduced to single lane traffic in both directions.

Expect delays during peak traffic times, so plan accordingly. All lanes will be open during the weekends.
