Acoustic Version of Britney Spears’ ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ Leaks
The gifts just keep on coming for Britney Spears fans. After her new song ‘Strangest Love‘ leaked over the weekend, another track followed — the acoustic version of ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ from Brit’s ‘Femme Fatale’ album.
Being that this version of the song is unplugged, it’s a far cry from what appeared on the album, making it feel like a whole new song. If we’re being honest, it’s beyond strange to hear the typically dancey pop star against a strummy acoustic guitar, slowed down as if she were a singer-songwriter in a coffee bar.
But we like it, because it’s different. Can you imagine if Britney were on par with, like, Sarah McLaughlin or Hayley Williams or something, rather than a pop idol in hot pants? We’re laughing just thinking about it. We dig the ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ acoustic run, but perhaps le Spears should keep her tights and circus uniforms in place for now.
