Audio has leaked of an unedited cut of the Britney Spears song "Alien", and the raw autotune-less track is a sobering reminder of how much technology can influence the sound of a voice.

In defense of Spears, producer William Orbit posted a statement that explains the track is a warm-up, and is commonplace in the industry. He explained that the warm-up was never meant to be heard by millions of people, because it was just Britney offering some vocals to allow engineers to get their equipment calibrated and to get her voice warmed up.

While this isn't the first time autotune-free Britney has hit the web, it is still just as unflattering as the first time.
