Duluth Mayor Emily Larson gathered with community leaders today and announced an easy way for Duluth residents to ask for help recovering from the recent damaging storms.

Duluth City Councilors, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, CHUM and 211 announced that 211 is now operating in the city and taking calls.

Mayor Larson said via Facebook, "if the days without power depleted your food supply and you can't afford to replace it, call 211. If you need help collecting or chainsawing tree waste, call them. For any personal needs that relate to the storm, this is the number for you."

211 is a national service operated by the United Way that helps provide free and conventional information to local resources.
