Carly Rae Jepsen Releases ‘I Really Like You’ [LISTEN]
Jacob Kasher and Peter Svensson of The Cardigans penned the song, which has a upbeat 90s Tiffany vibe with a little bit of Janet Jackson's "Control" mixed into the rhythm. Although the melody has a bit more bass than her chart-topper, Carly's light and airy voice strongly rides over the toe-tapping track. Singing "I really, really, really, really like you" in the chorus, the tune is pretty reminiscent of her past lyrics and really bring us back to that time we had a crush on a guy and hoped he felt the same. You can hear the full track below.
Carly has been posting clues about this particular song on her Instagram for the past few days by revealing bits and pieces of the lyrics as well as the album cover, which you can see below.
Carly will be officially debuting "I Really Like You" tomorrow morning (March 2) on Good Morning America, which you can catch on ABC.
Last month, we got wind of her jump back into the studio when photos of Justin Bieber, Tom Hanks and Carly dancing in the streets with a crowd of people hit the web. These shots were reported to be scenes from the video for the new single.
It's been way too long since we heard from Carly so we're definitely stoked for this one and are looking forward to more.
