It's time to Join Mayor Emily Larson and celebrate the completion of the Duluth Denfeld Edible Deep Winter Greenhouse on July 11th, 2018.

The area where the greenhouse sits was once a church. The church got tore down due to damage from the 2012 flood. I remember when I went to Denfeld (back in the day) an older gentleman would always sit in the church parking lot to make sure no students would park there during school hours.

The greenhouse will grow produce such as spinach, kale, and lettuce for residents in the area. This also happens to be the first deep winter greenhouse in Duluth. The greenhouse will be managed by the Community Action Duluth Seeds of Success program, and if you couldn't guess by the name, it will be primarily managed during the winter months.

So join Mayor Larson at the Greenhouse Wednesday July 11th, 2018 at 3 pm to celebrate the new greenhouse at 45th Ave West and Grand Avenue.
