City of Duluth Is Looking For Storm Recovery Volunteers

Team Rubicon is in Duluth this week and looking for volunteers to join them in debris mitigation. If you want to help out the city after the powerful storm, here's your chance. 

If you're interested, you are asked to check in by 8am on August 2nd at the Duluth Heights Community Center 33 W. Mulberry Street) to be assigned to work teams. You can volunteer for as much of the day as your schedule allows, but you have to be available to start at 8am per the press release.

Hauling Trees and brush materials like bending, stooping, heavy lifting and walking on uneven terrain will be on the agenda. Make sure to bring gloves and safety glasses, if available and long pants and closed-toe shoes are required.

Make sure to dress for the weather (wear sunscreen) and pre-registration is highly encouraged. There is only capacity for 25 volunteers to help with this project. To reserve your spot, please call 218-730-4334 or email cskafte@duluthmn.gov.
