The Holiday Station Store in Cloquet was robbed late last Saturday night by a man wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and carrying a camouflage backpack.

The man, 19-year-old Colt Dalton Nyberg, pulled a large knife and demanded all the cash from the register and the safe. The employee did hand over the money to Nyberg and he tried to leave the store when a customer attempted to block his exit.

Nyberg managed to escape and ran outside when the customer followed him in their vehicle giving 911 updates on the location of the armed Nyberg.

Police caught up with Nyberg minutes later running northbound on the ten-block of 16th street and he was quickly apprehended.

He was transported to the Carlton County Jail and was arraigned in Carlton County District Court on one count of Aggravated Robbery in the 1st-degree and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana.
