Stick this in your puritanical tobacco pipe and smoke it: The 90th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has announced its 2016 wave of performers, and its enough to hijack the better part of your seasonal gratitude.

Kelsea Ballerini, Daya, Regina Spektor and The Muppets will all perform as part of the broadcast, as will Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan, America's Got Talent Winner Grace Vanderwaal, Beyonce proteges Chloe and Halle and Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez. Yes, it's a spread as broad and satisfying as what you'll likely find on your table later that afternoon.

Oh, and if you're just in it for the balloons, keep your eyes peeled for classics like Hello Kitty, Pikachu, Spongebob, Charlie Brown and the Red Power Ranger. They'll be punctuated by marching band sets, performance group numbers and, very troublingly, the presentation of...clowns.

Performers in the 2015 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade included Mariah Carey, Andra Day, Panic! at the Disco and Rachel Platten.

The show's 90th anniversary, which will air at 9 AM EST on Thanksgiving Day on NBC, has carved out a theme of decades past, and will explore the culture of different shows through time. And if you find yourself particularly captivated by it all, there's a new Thanksgiving Day Parade emoji keyboard you can download and use to tweet during the show.
