Demolition Begins in Superior to Make Room for New CVS Pharmacy
Driving into work this morning I noticed that they have started the process of tearing down multiple structures to make room for one of three new CVS Pharmacies that are coming to the Twin Ports.
Crews have begun to take down the gas station that's been closed for years on the corner of 28th and Tower. Along with the gas station, 5 homes and another commercial building will be leveled to make room for the new 13,000 square foot pharmacy.
The new pharmacy will also include a 78 spot parking lot and landscaping to shield the CVS from the residential area behind the lot on Banks Ave.
The store is scheduled to open later this year and employ about 35 people, the two other stores in Duluth will open sometime after the Superior location, most likely in late 2012 or early 2013.
