I don't like using chemicals to kill weeds in my yard, but it's the only option, for me, that works efficiently. But I might have to give serious thought to using steam to eliminate weeds next time.

This new gadget called the DynaSteam uses ordinary tap water superheated to over 300⁰ F, turning it to steam and using that to kill the weeds. They say after you blast it with the steam, the weed should be dead within 24-48 hours.

It has attachments to inject the steam into the roots, cover the entire weed, or blast it with a precision jet of steam to get those pesky weeds in sidewalk cracks.

If you have kids or pets that play a lot in your yard and the chemicals worry you, like me, this might be something to try. Does anyone else use this or a similar tool to kill weeds with steam?
