The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) is proud to host the Minnesota Public Transit Association’s (MPTA) 31st Annual Minnesota State Bus Roadeo on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center in West Duluth from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public, with opening ceremonies starting at 8:00 a.m., and then the Large Bus Division Competition is from 8:45 – 10:00 a.m. and the Small Bus Division Competition from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Drivers from all across the state of Minnesota  will be in town to  compete with 16 bus operators competing in the Large Bus Division and 26 in the Small Bus Division.

The event features 12 different obstacles that competitors will be scored on for both accuracy and timing. The Grand Champion in both divisions will represent the state of Minnesota at the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) and the American Public Transit Association (APTA) national bus roadeos next year.

This is a fantastic event for all ages and is sure to show off the skills of these drivers.
