Caribou is notifying customers about a data breach that may have "involved access to your payment card information."

In a letter to customers, Caribou said that they detected unusual activity on November 28th of this year and consulted with a cybersecurity firm to identify the problem and scope of the breach.

Caribou says that if you visited one of their stores between August 28th, 2018 and December 3rd, 2018, "there is a possibility that your name and credit card information, including card number, expiration date, and card security code may have been accessed."

The company says that the problem has been fixed and they are working with the cybersecurity firm and the F.B.I to make sure that this doesn't happen in the future.

Caribou is urging "customers to remain vigilant by reviewing your account statements as well as your credit report for any unauthorized activity."
