The Duluth Fire Department, along with Energizer Batteries, is offering free batteries to the public. The extra hour you gain with daylight savings time is a good reminder to change your smoke and carbon monoxide alarm batteries and save a life.

Each year, thousands of people needlessly die or are injured in home fires. Tragically, many of them would be alive or unharmed today had their home been equipped with working smoke detectors.

Batteries, limit two, will be available while supplies last Monday through Friday, November 1st – November 9th from 8am to 4pm at:

City of Duluth Life Safety Office--615 W. First St.

If you have any questions, you can call (218)730-4380
