A handful of Duluth Firefighters are in Los Angeles for some conferences and decided to take time out to support teachers.

Teachers in the second largest school district in the country have been on strike for nearly a week now asking for higher pay, smaller class size, and more support staff. 500,000 students are currently teacherless and negotiations are underway to end the strike.

Duluth Firefighters Local 101 posted a photo on their Facebook page of some members helping out another union of public employees.

**UPDATE** It looks like the presence of the Duluth Firefighters helped a deal happen, I'm kidding of course, but I'm glad that this strike looks like it might be coming to an end.
