Duluth Mayor Don Ness Delivers State of The City Address From a Dirty Snow Bank

Trying something new this year, Duluth Mayor Don Ness is not delivering his annual State of the City address to a live audience of 200-300 people, instead the Mayor is producing a video, he says in a Facebook post “My guess is that most of you have not seen a state of the city address, with this new format, it’s my hope that many of you will this year.”
The Mayor posted a photo of himself on Facebook today saying, ”For perhaps the first time in municipal history, a Mayor has given his state of the city address while standing in a dirty snowbank.”
Hats off to the mayor for bucking a tradition that didn’t work and trying something new to deliver his message to the masses, good luck Mr. Mayor! Look for the video to be released sometime next month.
