Apparently this subject was suspected of an assault in Downtown Duluth and was on the run, when an officer on a bike was able to easily catch up to him and made the arrest. This is one example of how effective the bike patrol can be to get to areas quickly where a car would not be as effective.
This is a video of a Duluth Police Officer on bike patrol chasing a suspect involved in an assault incident down in the area of 1st Avenue East and 1st Street. The individual who fled the officer was taken to jail for fleeing a police officer. Bike patrol is a very effective enforcement tool for police.
