Duluth Police Warn Residents About Gift Card Scams

The Duluth Police Department took to Facebook to warn people about a scam that is spreading across the area.

Thieves are taking blank gift cards from various retailers and turning around and selling them on craigslist, Facebook groups and other internet sites.

This is not a new scam, but one that has seen an uptick recently and police are warning residents not to buy gift cards from private parties, especially when the price is reduced significantly.
