Duluth Welcomes Aircraft Maintenance Company and 225 Jobs

Duluth Mayor Don Ness announced some good news today, aircraft maintenance company AAR is moving some of its operations to the former Northwest Airlines Maintenance facility.
This could have the potential to create as many as 225 jobs with the facility at full capacity. The company plans to start the move in preparations immediately and hopes to be operational by later this summer.
Ness said “AAR is a world-class organization, this is an important day in Duluth’s history…This was a true team effort and our partners worked tirelessly to achieve this important announcement.”
AAR is a leading provider of products and services to aerospace, government and defense industries. The Company was incorporated in 1955 and today has revenues of approximately $2 billion with 6,200 employees in 17 countries. AAR is the largest independent provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services in North America
