Enger Tower to go Purple in Memory of Prince on Thursday Night
As fans mourn the loss of musical icon and Minnesotan Prince, the City of Duluth will honor the Purple One by lighting Enger Tower in Purple tonight (Thursday, April 21). The City of Duluth's Communications Office confirmed that crews are prepping to light the tower tonight in purple, following through on a request from a local resident.
Duluthian Ruthe Kay, as a fellow Minnesota musician felt a big loss when the word of Prince's passing broke, and asked if the city could honor the late music superstar and with a special lighting of Duluth's iconic Enger Tower. As is customary with the lighting on Enger Tower, it will be visible after sunset (sometime between 8 and 9 pm tonight).
