ESCALATOR MALFUNCTION [VIDEO]

I have never really given much thought to riding an escalator before , but I may take the steps from now on!

This happened in Washington D.C. at the National Mall back in October, on one of the busiest days ever for the system the braking system failed and sent passengers flying down the escalator at a high rate of speed, and piling up at the bottom, 6 people were injured.
