Additional Information
The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Center for Continuing Education and Fairlawn Mansion have partnered to host an intimate evening of history and Victorian superstition.
The Fairlawn Superstition Flashlight Tour will begin with a cheese and cracker reception with an invitation to guests to bring their own beverage – no red wine, please. Glassware, ice and corkscrews will be provided.
Paranormal investigator Scott Kenner will set the tone for the evening, presenting his audio recordings collected in the mansion during a recent visit. He will also share findings of paranormal activity from the SS Meteor and the Old Firehouse/Police Museum. Making this a truly unique paranormal presentation about some of Superior’s greatest landmarks. Kenner was a skeptic when it came to ghosts until he bought an active house in May of 2000. In 2006 he and his team started small investigations. In 2012 Kenner became a member of The International Paranormal Society (TIPS) and has been investigating properties throughout the Midwest.
Following Kenner’s presentation, the evening will conclude with a flashlight tour of Fairlawn Mansion, which will include areas of the home off-limits on regular tours. One such area is the rarely explored basement!
Tickets are $20 for one ticket or $35 for two tickets.
