Calling all Lovatics (aka Demi Lovato fans). The teen queen tweeted a promo photo from her upcoming, top secret MTV special, set to air March 6. The image is striking, but it’s not of Lovato’s beautiful face or expressive eyes. It’s of her hands.

Lovato’s wrists are face up, with her swirly “Stay Strong” script tattoo in full view and adorned by a heart and a lipstick kiss on either side. She’s also sporting dangerous, sharpened-to-a-point, black lacquered dagger nails. Those things could do some damage.We hope Demi doesn’t wear contacts or she’d need a personal assistant to help her remove them thanks to those talons.

The photo is certainly meant to capture Lovato’s fierce, never-give-up quality, which made her a role model for teens dealing with eating disorders and bullying. She posted this tweet along with the image: “Lovatics-I wanted to tell you FIRST about a special I worked on with @MTV. It premieres March 6th at 10pm!”

Further details about the special are scarce, but one can surmise that it’s going to detail her 2010 rehab stint. Lovato has been dogged by return-to-rehab rumors for several weeks, all of which she and her handlers have denied. Demi is indeed staying strong.

It’s good to be Madonna‘s daughter, and not just because you can launch a teen clothing line with her at Macy’s known as Material Girl. Madge has reportedly “hired” her 15-year-old daughter as a backup dancer on her upcoming world tour in support of ‘MDNA,’ which launches at the end of May.

Lourdes will accompany her mother on a 50-country world tour. Is that nepotism? Not really, since it’s Madge’s tour and she’ll do whatever the hell she wants. Judging from the fact that Mom-donna (or is that Ma-donna?) mercilessly proofreads Lourdes’ blogs, she isn’t giving her offspring a free ride or any special treatment. In fact, she’ll probably come down on her even harder than other dancers on the tour.

According to The Daily Mail, a source said, “It is the first time Lourdes will have appeared on stage with her mum. There are risqué dancers and some blatantly sexual dance routines – but Madonna is really excited about Lourdes making an appearance.”

Come on, it’s not like Lourdes has been shielded from her mother’s sexed up past. There’s this thing called the Internet where she could have done her research and seen how her mother clawed her way to the top, based on her sexualized style. Madge isn’t the apologize-for-my-past type, either, so it’s not a case of “bad” parenting. Lourdes is growing up and this is a great chance for her to do her thang.

Will there be some mother-daughter competition? Who knows!

Mariah Carey, who looks as stunning as ever, appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ to talk about heart health month, Dem Babies, new music and of course, the loss of fellow diva Whitney Houston and her recently hospitalized husband Nick Cannon. Carey and Cannon had a serious scare when he went into mild kidney failure in January.

Carey was quite candid during her chat with Robin Roberts, speaking from the heart about the late, great Houston, who passed at 48 just over a week ago.

“It was great and I don’t think people could ever understand our relationship,” Carey mused. “There was this supposed rivalry in the beginning, then we did the duet and became friends. I loved her.”

It’s been a rocky month for people in Carey’s life. Roc and Roe’s mother also spoke about Cannon’s health scare, saying, “We didn’t know how big a deal it was at that moment” about Cannon’s first stay in the hospital. Then things got worse. She admitted, “It was a gradual thing. We ended up in a couple hospitals this year already.”

Carey voiced her support for Cannon, who quit his morning drive radio show last week, since he was working way too hard and neglecting his health. She said, “The best thing I think was the choice that he made to leave the radio show and just focus on ‘America’s Got Talent’ and ‘Up All Night.’ The thing is, he’s a young healthy person. It’s about changing the lifestyle and just an awareness of what can really happen to you no matter how young or in great shape you are.”

Cannon’s missus did express that she believes he will make a glass of lemonade out of this lemon, saying, “I think, like he always does, he’s going to turn something that happened into a positive thing.”

That’s great news.

A new Travelodge survey found that 35 percent of adults in the UK sleep with a teddy bear to help de-stress and sleep at night.

Twenty-five percent of men said they take their teddy bear with them when they’re away on business. Many said the bear reminds them of home and a cuddle helps them fall asleep.

Fifty-one percent of adults said they still have a teddy bear from their childhood and the average teddy was 27 years old.

One-in-10 single men admitted that they hide their teddy bear when their girlfriend stayed over. Fifteen percent of men said they treat their teddy as their best friend and will share their intimate secrets with their bear.

Do you still have a teddy bear that you sleep with?  It’s ok, I do.

Whitney Houston may have had one of the most recognizable voices in pop music, which brought her great success, fame and fortune. Apparently, the singer’s financial resources may have dwindled down to almost nothing, since her family sold footage of her celebrity-attended funeral to a variety of global media outlets.

Apparently, the family elected to sell the footage in order to raise money for the singer’s sole heir, daughter Bobbi Kristina, 18. That’s why it would seem that Houston didn’t leave much behind.

The funeral took place on Saturday, Feb. 18 in Houston’s Newark, N.J. hometown. She was eulogized by her ‘The Bodyguard’ co-star Kevin Costner and serenaded by Alicia Keys. The funeral aired on CNN and several online outlets via The Associated Press, but all footage was offline and non-viewable the very next day.

A spokesperson for the family told TMZ that the executors of Houston’s estate “agreed to license footage to several media outlets for customary fees.” Those “customary fees” are being set aside to “maximize the estate for the benefit of Bobbi Kristina.”

Hmm, that sounds like jargon-heavy way to say that Houston was broke and/or didn’t leave much behind for her only child in terms of money. Why else would the family need to sell private footage on Bobbi Kris’ behalf?

At least this money-making endeavor is for a good cause, since Bobbi Kris is in a lot of pain over the loss of her mother at such a young age; Houston was just 48. However, an auction of Houston items is set for next month, and that feels a little tacky and entirely too soon after the pop diva’s death, even though the auction house claims that their sale is helping to preserve the singer’s legacy and history.

Yeah, there’s a better way to preserve Houston’s legacy and history. Those are called albums.

I’ve already professed my love for Pinterest.com.  I spend quite a bit of time on that website.  But it would be wrong if I preached about how wonderful it was without showing you practical applications.  So here is the first (in a series of many) posts where I’ll SHOW you how awesome Pinterest really is.

I decided that I was going to try and save some money.  Our family has many vacations we want to take, and home improvement projects we’re trying to fund.  What better way to save money than to turn to cutting down on our expenses.

The first project I tried was making my own body wash!  It’s actually kind of a no-brainer.  If you read the back of a bottle of any body wash, one of the first ingredients is always water.  Here are a few easy–trust me, I did it.  It’s easy–steps to get all squeaky clean for less!

Ingredients:

1 8oz. (or 2 4 oz.) bar of soap

2 tbsp Glycerine (you can find it in the first aid/band aid section of just about any store and it’s also good for home made bubbles!)

1 gallon water

You’ll also need:

1 large pot

1 cheese grater

1 large (1 gal. or larger) container for body wash

1 smaller container for body wash (I just recycled an old body wash bottle)

Directions:

1. Grate the entire bar (or bars of soap)

2. Fill your pot with 1 gallon of water and add the grated cheese soap.

Mmmm...Soap

3.  Add 2 Tablespoons of Glycerine, and turn heat to medium.  Stir until the shavings dissolve, leaving a pot of soapy water.

Soap Soup! (Not safe to consume!)

4. Once your shavings have dissolved remove from heat and let sit for 10-12 hours.  Your soap will  cloud up after a few hours.  (If the soap is thicker than liquid soap, just use an electric mixer or a whisk to get it the right consistency.)

5.  Once your body wash is ready, use a funnel to get into your big container!

Lots of cheap body wash!

6.  Enjoy your home made body wash, knowing you only paid the price of 1 bar of soap for it! (And a little glycerine, but that will go a long way in the ways of making body wash!)

This week’s episode of ‘Glee,’ ‘On My Way,’ was all about choosing life and not backing down, but the last two seconds were shockingly somber.

It seemed like Quinn was back on top after her rebellious phase and attempts at stealing her child back earlier this season. She’s forgiven. She’s been forgiven. She’s been accepted to Yale, and in ‘On My Way,’ she was accepted back onto the Cheerios. She even made peace with Rachel, telling her she’s happy that she and Finn are getting married. But the end of ‘On My Way’ threatened to change everything for Quinn.

After Rachel hears that Quinn is okay with her getting married to Finn, she invites her to be a bridesmaid in the wedding. On the wedding day, while Finn gets sentimental and the lovebirds’ parents devise a disruption, Quinn is caught in traffic after going home to get her bridesmaid’s dress. She gets several frantic texts from Rachel, asking urgently “where are you??” As she is texting “on my way,” her car is hit by a truck.

We’ve seen Quinn go througfh a lot in her senior year, too much for her to be a victim of texting-while driving. Please be okay, Quinn, PLEASE!

Adele‘s awards show dominance shows no signs of letting up. The British superstar won twice at today’s 2012 BRIT Awards in London, while Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and One Direction also nabbed trophies.

Adele took home Best British Female Artist and Album of the Year for ’21.’ After winning the latter award, presented by George Michael, Adele said, “I’m so proud to be flying our flag,” before being cut off by producers trying to keep the show on schedule, according to The Guardian.

The only nomination Adele lost was British Single of the Year. That award, which is decided by sales and airplay throughout the year, went to One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’ Newcomer Ed Sheeran won both British Male Artist and British Breakthrough Act, while Coldplay took Best British Group.

As for the international awards, Rihanna won for Female Artist, Bruno Mars captured Male Artist, the Foo Fighters took Best Group, and Lana Del Rey won International Breakthrough Act.

Beyonce and Jay-Z stepped out sans newborn Blue Ivy Carter on Monday night to catch a basketball game between the New York Knicks and the New Jersey Nets. While sitting amongst other celebs at Madison Square Garden, the crazy-in-love couple clearly had a great time.

How do we know? Well, Jay-Z is part owner of the Nets, so he was undoubtedly excited about his team’s win over the recently Lin-sane Knicks, who lost 92-100. Beyond that, the new parents were snapped with smiles on their faces, and even sharing an adorable fist pump at the NYC arena.

Perhaps as a tribute to her daughter, Beyonce was spotted sporting blue nails and blue jeans at the game, keeping things casual — well, aside from her graphic-print platform pumps and serious knuckle bling. Virgin Galactic

Last month Virgin Galactic announced it would begin offering commercial space flights later this year.

The two-and-a-half hour trip just cracks the space barrier and offers about five minutes of weightlessness. It also comes with a fairly prohibitive price tag of $200,000 a pop.

But let’s say money was no object. Would you want to be among the first commercial space travelers?

Poll Position asked 1,145 adults that very question and found that only 23 percent thought the thrill of the great beyond outweighed the risks. Fifty-two percent said they would not be willing to take such a flight and 26 percent had no opinion.

It may be hard to believe, but Justin Bieber is working on his second book. The 17-year-old pop sensation is ready to publish his “second official photographic book.”

Called ‘Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started,’ it is the follow-up to his first tome ‘First Step 2 Forever: My Story.’ The title is expected to hit bookstores in September.

According to publishing giant HarperCollins, the photography book promises to give fans an inside look into the world of the Biebster: from his worldwide tours, to winning countless of awards, to making a movie and recording his new album ‘Believe.’

“I’m so excited to be working on another book with HarperCollins,” said Bieber. “Being able to share my story with my fans through these books is an absolute privilege.  I can’t wait to show them more about my life on tour and in the studio in this next book.” This is great news for Bieber fans who have been waiting patiently for new material from the crooner. Since the book is dropping in September, we can probably expect a new album from him around that time as well.

Meanwhile, Biebs can be heard singing the hook on Far East Movement‘s as-of-yet unreleased single ‘Live My Life.’ The track’s producer RedOne is beib-ing over the collaboration. “To me, it’s a smash,” he told MTV. “And Justin sang the chorus. It’s a really good song, and I think people are gonna dance like crazy to it.”

Theft charges serious enough to warrant a jury trial typically involve stolen goods that are pretty expensive (just ask Lindsay Lohan about that).

But you don’t have to steal high-dollar stuff to get in that kind of trouble — in fact, a New Mexico college student is about to go on trial for allegedly forgetting to pay for a $2 pumpkin.

Lauren Medina, 23, will have her day in court on Tuesday. She’s accused of stealing the small gourd from a local pumpkin patch in October.

But her sister, Annette Atencio, says the whole thing was a big misunderstanding that’s been completely overblown. On that fateful day last year, the two siblings had enjoyed a day at the pumpkin patch, spending $75 on funnel cakes and other food. When they left, Medina simply forgot to pay for the pumpkin, Atencio says.

When police approached them, Atencio maintains her sister apologized and immediately offered to pony up the cash, but the cops refused and “she was handcuffed immediately — end of story, no ifs or buts.”

After Medina was given an order to appear in court, she thought the charges would be dropped. Instead, prosecutors gave her the option of pleading guilty and doing probation — and when she refused, the case was remanded to trial.

Atencio is infuriated by the debacle, especially because her sister has never been in trouble with the law before. “I’m in disbelief,” she said. “The more I talk about it, the angrier I get.”

The 23rd season of ‘The Simpsons’ will go out with a bang, as that’s when the episode featuring Lady Gaga will air.

Gaga taped her ep late last summer and just like ‘SNL’ last May, she will appear on a season finale of a long-running comedy show. ‘The Simpsons’ remains the longest airing scripted show on prime time TV, while ‘SNL’ has been airing since 1975, so Gaga has a penchant for appearing on some of the most beloved shows on the small screen.

The Mother Monster’s episode is called ‘Lisa Goes Gaga’ and Gaga factors into the plot as someone who comes to Springfield in order to cheer up little Lisa, who is often the voice of reason on the show.

The Telegraph reports that Gaga has mused about her role on the show, saying, “I play a little bit of a slut. The apple doesn’t fall far from my artistic tree.”

Uh oh. Is Gaga going to be a bad influence on the sweet and wholesome Lisa Simpson? Will she teach her how to dance? Will she whip Bart into shape? Will she give Marge hair tips? Will she eat donuts with Homer? The possibilities are endless.

The exact air date of the season finale of ‘The Simpsons’ has not yet been confirmed, but it should air sometime in May. PopCrush will certainly recap the episode for you, dear reader!

Move over, M.I.A. You’re not the only one who can give a one-finger salute at a major music event. Fresh off the aforementioned rapper’s bird-flipping incident during the 2012 Super Bowl Halftime, British diva Adele did the same at the BRIT Awards this evening (Feb. 21.) But while M.I.A.’s gesture seemed immature, out of place and a foolish attempt to grab a headline, Adele was merely reacting to being cut off when making her acceptance speech.

The singer had just won the award for British Album of the Year for ’21′ and was making a genuine, from-the-deepest-recesses-of-her-heart speech, according to Spinner. She was saying, “Thank you very, very much. Nothing is better than coming home with six Grammies and winning Album of the Year. Nothing makes me prouder than to be British.”

That’s when host James Corden cut her off. Not only did he receive a chorus of boos from the crowd, but he got that one-digit salute from the beloved ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer.

At a post-awards press conference, Adele commented on her reaction, saying, “I was cut off during my speech but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support. I was held up with my voice and troubles but the album kept walking without me. I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans.”

That explanation of her action should further deepen the love her fellow Brits have for her. Notice we said Brits, not BRITS! Adele is truly a pop star of the people, for the people and by the people.

The Album of the Year award was preceded by a win for British Female Solo Artist.

Giving the bird was not the sole reason people were talking about Adele’s fingers tonight. She also sported a large rock on her left hand, prompting talk of an engagement to her BF Simon Konecki. There’s obviously been no confirmation of that. Perhaps Adele bought herself a nice piece of jewelry to celebrate all those Grammys and BRITS?

He had to take a break from working on his new music while he recovered from throat surgery, but John Mayer is on the mend — and he’s close enough to the finish line that he’s ready to start sharing clips from his upcoming album, ‘Born and Raised,’ starting with just over a minute from the first single, ‘Shadow Days.’

“Been looking forward to a post like this since October 14, 2010, the first day I started writing this group of songs,” wrote Mayer on his Tumblr. “Enjoy.”

Like many of Mayer’s songs, ‘Shadow Days’ deals with matters of the heart. A midtempo track with pedal steel accents befitting his cowboy makeover, it kicks off with the lines “Well, I ain’t no troublemaker/ And I never meant her harm” before promising, “I’m a good man with a good heart / Had a tough time, got a rough start / But I finally learned to let it go … My shadow days are over.”

No release date has been announced for the new album, which was originally supposed to be released last fall before Mayer’s surgery forced a delay. It’ll be his first collection of new material since 2009′s ‘Battle Studies,’ which debuted at No. 1 before going on to a platinum certification and three Grammy nominations.

Good news, Madonna fans! The Material Girl is shooting her video for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ this week. It’s unclear whether it will feature inebriated topless girls on spring break, but we do know a few things about the clip.Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, broke the news to her fans this week via Twitter, writing, “shooting “Girls Gone Wild” video this coming week.” Oseary also revealed that the video would be directed by Mert and Marcus, the same team who created Madonna’s trippy, gorgeous ‘M.D.N.A.’ album art.

What do we know about the actual song? A leaked CD jacket says that Britney Spears is featured on it!

We also know that the creator of the sleazy ‘Girls Gone Wild’ video series isn’t pleased with the song’s title. Prior to Madonna’s stellar Super Bowl halftime show, Joe Francis and his attorneys sent her a cease and desist letter to thwart her from performing the track. ”Mr. Francis and ‘Girls Gone Wild’ have worked tirelessly for an excess of two decades to build his brand and to protect his trademark Girls Gone Wild,’” Francis’ attorney wrote. “‘Girls Gone Wild”s trade identity and trademark are extremely valuable assets which my clients protect vigorously.”

Maybe we’re biased, but we think Madonna’s ‘Girls Gone Wild’ video will be a bit more interesting (and a lot less dirty!) than the ones associated with Joe Francis’ brand. We can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeves!

Chris Brown wished former (and possibly current) flame Rihanna a happy birthday in a very public way: on Twitter. Not only did Breezy wish Robyn (Rihanna’s real first name) well, he also released his ‘Turn Up the Music’ remix on her special day — and she’s featured on it. On the remix, RiRi sings the second verse and joins Brown on the hook. While it can be argued that their personal lives may not entangle well together, they certainly make good music together. Brown’s remix comes hot on the heels of a publicized possible reunion for the notorious volatile former couple. Brown and Rihanna reportedly spent four hours together in her dressing room during Grammy rehearsals and have been sending loved up tweets to one another for ages now. Rumors have been rampant since January that they’ve been hooking up on the sly — something Brown’s girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, denies.

‘Turn Up the Music’ isn’t the only music the pair will be making together. Breezy is the feature on RiRi’s upcoming ‘Birthday Cake’ remix, a decision that came under massive backlash from both fans and critics alike.

Food lovers, rejoice! Taco Bell’s ever-popular fourth meal has a highly anticipated upgrade coming out March 8 involving the unholy union of their tasty tacos and a delicious Doritos shell. They’re calling this culinary masterpiece ‘Doritos Locos.’

Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed has high hopes and an optimistic outlook for this new menu item, saying, “This will be the biggest new-product launch Taco Bell has ever had.” Frankly, we’re just as pumped.

But do you may remember last year’s lawsuit with Taco Bell involving the quality of their meat and that strange filler-substance that it is allegedly made of. Well, that led to a 2-percent loss in same-store sales causing Taco Bell to take some drastic measures in improving their image. So, it looks like Doritos might be its savior.

Doritos Locos tacos will hit stores on March 8th and the world is more than ready to give them a try. On the list of things that Americans love, junk food and fast food are ranked pretty high, so it is hard to imagine Doritos Locos failing.
