If you grew up in a house with brothers/sisters then you can all relate to listening to your Mom or Dad yelling for you, but calling out the names of all your siblings instead.

Well now thanks to a scientific study, we know why this phenomenon occurs. I was the youngest of five, so this was a daily thing in our house. I would literally be standing right in front of my mom, and she would call me Bill, Bob, Anne, Mary 'till she finally would spit out Jeanne. Sometimes I would say my name for her which would often end with a look.

Now that I am a parent I have done this same thing, but it usually is when I am in a hurry or not in the greatest mood. ;) So look forward to this going on for generations to come.
