Flo Rida‘s dance-pop hit ‘Whistle’ is the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. The Miami rapper dethroned Carly Rae Jepsen‘s nine-week reign at the top with her summertime jam ‘Call Me Maybe.’

This is Flo’s third No. 1 hit of his career following his 2008 club anthem ‘Low’ (Featuring T-Pain) and 2009′s ‘Right Round,’ which featured an uncredited Kesha. The ‘Good Feeling’ rapper joins a distinguished list of rhyme-spitters with several Hot 100 chart-toppers under their belts. Those artists include Diddy and Ludacris with five each, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Eminem, 50 Cent and Nelly with four apiece and Ja Rule, T.I., T-Pain and Snoop Dogg with three each.

But don’t feel too bad for Jepsen. Although her song ‘Maybe’ dipped to No. 3, she officially holds the title of having the longest Hot 100 reign of the year, so far. Plus, the Canadian songbird’s follow-up single ‘Good Time’ (with Owl City) is resting comfortably at No. 13 on the tally.

Flo Rida might not be able to hold on to his throne for long. British electro-pop singer Ellie Goulding‘s ‘Lights’ is holding steady at No. 2 this week and Taylor Swift‘s just-released song ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ is garnering major airplay this week.

In the meantime, Flo Rida is probably tooting his own whistle in celebration of his latest chart achievement.
