Former Old Country Buffet Location at Miller Hill Mall Set to Become Lucky’s 13 Pub

When it was announced that Old Country Buffet closed its doors at Duluth's Miller Hill Mall, many wondered what would take over the space. We now have an answer. The Duluth News Tribune is reporting Pub chain Lucky's 13 Pub will be bringing their Americana-style food menu in to the mall to compete with national chain Applebee's, already in the same general area of the mall.

Lucky's got its start in Mendota, Minnesota in 2007, and has expanded into Bloomington, Plymouth, and Fargo. The Duluth addition will be the second location outside of the Twin Cities metro.

The restaurant's menu features normal pub-style food like burgers and sandwiches, but also offers breakfast. Their breakfast menu offers a number of unique takes on morning food like Walleye Benedict and Minnesota Wild Rice Pancakes.

Work is already underway at the Miller Hill Mall location, and the report says it could be open as soon as December of this year.
