Minnesota State Parks are celebrating National Get Outdoors Day with free admission to all State Parks.

On Saturday, June 9th you can visit any of Minnesota's 75 parks for no charge and also enjoy some special activities like geocaching, kayaking, camping, and other family-friendly activities.

Minnesotans can also do some free fishing without a license at most State Parks, some parks also have free loaner fishing kits available for use. Some parks also offer GPS kits, birding kits, and Kids' Discovery Kits.

Some area parks are hosting some events for this special day including Gooseberry Falls State Park which is having a hunt for Bigfoot. Jay Cooke State Park is having a special open house which will include a presentation from the International Wolf Center.
