George Lucas had ideas and plans for what the last three Star Wars movies would be, but only wanted to do the seventh film before selling LucasFilms.

According to a recent interview with USA Today, Lucas anticipated to be done with the seventh film by 2015 and then wanted to sell the company, because he knew a third trilogy would take at least ten years. Disney was in the right place at the right time and bought Lucasfilm for a pocket change amount of $4 billion.

I'll still be seeing the new Star Wars movie opening weekend, but something tells me it won't be quite the same without Lucas at the helm. Although Lucas did say now he gets the chance to see the movie first hand like everyone else. I think that's a pretty cool thing to say and I like him even more now!

I respect him for saying time and family are more important than money, but how can you leave a franchise hanging in the balance. Hopefully J.J. Abrams does this movie justice. I'm just so much more curios now on how this trilogy would have turned out if Lucas would have stuck with it.

Comment below if you'll be seeing Star Wars The Force Unleashed opening weekend and let me know how different or similar you'll think the movie will be.
