Get a Look at the Dragon Smaug in the New Teaser Trailer for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ [VIDEO]

My inner nerdom awoke today upon the release of the first teaser trailer of the second installment of Peter Jackson's hobbit trilogy, 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' opens in theatres on December 13th.

The trailer features rapid fire shots of the movie, giving the viewer a real sense of the impending action that the second film will surely deliver and we get our first really good look at the face of the dragon Smaug.

'The Desolation of Smaug' will feature a few new characters and the return of a fan favorite from the 'Lord of The Rings' trilogy, Legolas, an Elf of the Woodland Realm played by Orlando Bloom who is featured multiple times in this new trailer.
