History

WITC-Superior has been around longer than almost any other technical college in Wisconsin. While it was founded in 1912 as the state’s second vocational school and first in the northwest region, it became part of the Wisconsin Indianhead Vocational, Technical and Adult Education District in 1972. It was later renamed Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in 1987.

Locations
WITC serves Northwest Wisconsin with campuses in Ashland, New Richmond, Rice Lake and Superior andoutreach centers in Hayward and Ladysmith.
