Governor Mark Dayton Declares Sunday “Soccer in Minnesota Day”

For those of you who enjoy the game of soccer, Sunday is for you.

Today, Governor Mark Dayton declared that Sunday, March 12th, 2017 be “Soccer in Minnesota Day” to celebrate Minnesota United FC, the new pro soccer team that starts play on the same day.

Minnesota United FC plays Atlanta at U.S. Bank Stadium after a 30+ year absence of top-level soccer in the state.

Minnesotans are encouraged to wear Minnesota United blue and black on Sunday. You can read the entire proclamation for the Governor here.
