Hammond Avenue Re-striping Starts Today

Sometimes the city does listen. After years of complaints, Hammond Avenue will now have extra lanes. We'll just have to sit patiently until it's completed.

The City of Superior will be re-striping Hammond Avenue southbound from the Blatnik Bridge to Winter Street just prior to the Wednesday July 22 morning commute. The new configuration will consist of one lane for thru traffic and a second lane for thru traffic and right turns, to lessen traffic congestion during peak times. Hammond Avenue from Winter Street to Belknap Street and Hammond Ave Northbound will remain unchanged.
