Did you know that for certain purchases you make on Amazon, they will donate money to a Duluth or Superior organization of your choice?

It is a program called AmzonSmile, Amazon says, the program is "a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you."

To start helping out Duluth organizations, go to smile.amazon.com and pick from nearly one million eligible 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations, and then start shopping!

Not all products you buy are eligible for a donation, but Amazon claims that, "tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations," so you'll find something to buy, might I suggest this awesome horse head mask.

After you buy something Amazon will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the charity you select, currently I am donating to Animal Allies, but a quick search of the Duluth area resulted in 484 organizations that you could choose to donate to, and you can change your organization at any time.

So if you're an Amazon shopper, this is a great way to give back to the local community for doing essentially nothing but shopping.

*USAGE TIP*

For the donations to work you must shop on smile.amzon.com, and sometimes I forget, so I found this cool plugin for the Chrome web browser that will make sure you always are shopping on smile.amazon.com, you can grab that plugin here. If you're a Firefox user, check out this plugin.
