Today we're going back to this week in 1994 where Coach Bombay went from the minor leagues to the world championship, Cleveland's new stadium, and Salt-N-Pepa teaming up with En Vogue. 

Another childhood sports movie was released this week in 1994, 'D2: The Mighty Ducks'. Emilio Estevez returned to his role as Coach Gordan Bombay, this time coaching Team USA for the Junior Goodwill Games. The film didn't do as good as the first one, but was still a successful franchise.

In headlines the first exhibition game was played today at Jacobs Field, the baseball stadium home to the Cleveland Indians as the Pirates went on to beat the Cleveland.

and in music news 'Whatta Man' was the second single release from Salt-N-Pepa's fourth studio album 'Very Necessary'. With help from En Vogue, 'Whatta Man' peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
