Today we go back to this week in 1997 and take a look at John Cusak going back to high school in 'Gross Pointe Blank', A flooded Minnesota community, and the R&B group Next's biggest hit.

John Cusak portrays a professional hit-man who left town immediately after High School and goes back for his 10 year reunion to complete a contract and maybe reunite with his old flame in 'Grosse Pointe Blank'. The film grossed over $28 million and had an amazing soundtrack.

Today in 1997 the little town of Granite Falls, MN had the worst flood in it's recorded history. The melting of snow mixed with rain caused an overflow in the Red River and flooded communities throughout Minnesota and even reached North Dakota.

the R&B group Next released their biggest hit to date and was the second single off their debut album. 'Too Close' reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, went platinum and sampled Kurtis Blow's 'Christmas Rappin',
