Today we're going back to this day in 1999 and watch Drew Barrymore go back to high school, look at some denim and a one hit wonder.

'Never Been Kissed' came out this week. Drew Barrymore starred in and produced the romantic comedy about a journalist going undercover at her old high school to help parents become more aware of their children's lives and also she's never been in a real relationship. The film grossed over $84 million and was James Franco's film debut.

In fashion, Denim's popularity was at an all-time high with denim jackets and matching jeans skyrocketing in sales. Large hoop earrings and jelly shoes were also very popular.

One hit wonder Citizen King released 'Better Days (And the Bottom Drops Out)'. The song was used in the pilot episode and final episode of 'Malcom in the Middle' and was also used in the remake of 'Gone in 60 Seconds'. I really enjoy the song, because after all we've all seen better days.
