Today we're going back to 1995 to remember a remake from John Carpenter and dance to Shaggy's 'Boombastic' rhythm.

John Carpenter's 'Village of the Damned' starring Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley was released this week in 1995. The sci-fi horror film is a remake of the 1960 film and was based off the novel 'The Midwich Cuckoos' by John Wyndham. The film didn't do well at the box office, but became a cult classic on video and DVD.

Jamaican Artist Shaggy released 'Boombastic' as the second single off his third studio album. It peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and sampled Marvin Gaye's 'Let's Get It On'. The song has also been featured in several movies and TV shows.
